Hi Craig,
RV city water inlets are typically all the same size but the mounting style and flange size can vary so you'll want to measure the current flange to determine if the # 372160-85-A-26A's 3" flange diameter will be enough to cover the cutout hole. Recessed mounts typically require a bigger flange to cover the hole. If you can send me some measurements on your current inlet I'd be happy to verify.
To seal your new inlet you'll want to use a bit of butyl tape # AL28FJ on the mounting... view full answer...
Hey Paul thanks for your patience. I just heard back from Valterra. The AquaFresh Exterior Water Filter System item # AF77FR measures 13” from the top of the metal bracket to the bottom of the filters. The bracket itself is 9-1/2” wide but the filter inlets and outlets stick out an 1" on both sides to make the overall width 11-1/2". The bracket is 6" deep.
You will need a minimum of 2" of clearance below the cartridge to swap them out. view full answer...
The exact replacement has been discontinued so instead I recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 16" x 16" Door Item # FR98SR. Its dimensions are 19-3/16" deep x 12-5/8" tall x 12-13/16" wide. It provides 19+ gallons of hot water per hour and has a heating capacity of 13,000 to 60,000 BTU's for on demand hot water. You'll be much happier with the performance you receive from the tankless versus the tank water heaters and face less technical issues view full answer...
Hi Riley,
I believe you were referring to a Suburban SW6DEC, and easily the best replacement tankless water heater for that model is from Furrion:
- Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - 16" x 16" Door # FR98SR
At 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep, the # FR98SR has almost exactly the same dimensions as your Suburban, and fits the same width and height cutout. The only thing to check is the depth of the cutout, as as the Furrion requires a 23-1/2" deep space, and the Suburban didn't... view full answer...
RV water heater sizes have shrunk a bit over the last few years so you may have to do a bit of framing to install a new tankless water heater. Based on the dimensions of the GC10A-4E that I'm seeing you could possibly get away with just a 16" x 16" access door with the Furrion Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR. If you measure your current door and find you need to go larger with the 16" tall by 18" wide then you'll want part # FR48SR instead.
I've attached a video to help walk you through... view full answer...
Hi Kathi,
Anode rods are sacrificial hunks of metal that are designed to deteriorate so that the metal of the tank won't. A bit more length for the rod would just mean that this new anode rod would last longer. Most RV water heaters require an anode rid with a 3/4" NPT thread size so you'll want to measure the opening to see if the 1/2" # CAM11593 would be a compatible fit. When you open the door there should be a few stickers with some information about the water heater and the model... view full answer...
Hi Donald,
For a 150" flange to flange measurement you'll need the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000163299. This slide topper is designed to fit 146" - 151" flange to flange measurements. Going a size larger than this could potentially sit the mounting brackets out too far to be able to mount them to the wall of the slide out. This would have roughly 3" of overhang (fabric and arms) so it's important to make sure the arms won't come into contact with anything near your slide out.
